With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Mae Wetzel of Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowry "Fred" Deyarmin and Elizabeth Sarah Deyarmin (Sinclair); her son Matthew Robert Wetzel; her brothers, Fred "Buck" Deyarmin, Jr., Edgar "Gab" Deyarmin and Wilmer "Bub" Deyarmin; her parents-in-law, Max E. Wetzel, Sr. and Mary Wetzel (Davis); and her siblings-in-law, Constance Deyarmin, Debra Weaver and William "Bull" Wetzel.
She is survived by: her husband Gene of Cherry Tree, PA; her daughter Gina Hetrick (Kevin) of Punxsutawney, PA; her grandchildren, Walker, Everleigh Hetrick and Maddox Wilson; and her siblings, Sybert "Joseph" Deyarmin (Tina) of Cherry Tree, PA, Elmer Frank "Pete" Deyarmin of Cherry Tree, PA, Evelyn Ann "Susie" Wetzel (Don) of Mahaffey, PA and Catherine "Cindy" Shilling (Rich) of Dysart, PA. She is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
