It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara A. Kearney of Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Piermont and Stephen Piermont Sr.; and her siblings, Stephen Piermont Jr. and Mary Jane Schaffstall. She is survived by: her significant other Robert Mele; her daughter Lauren Garavelas; and her grandson Nikitas Garavelas.
Viewing was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the St. Katharine Drexel Church (1920 Providence Ave, Chester, PA 19013). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
