He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ehrman Burkman Mitchell, Jr. and Hermine Strickler Mitchell; his friend Class; his wife Leslie Ann March Mitchell; his daughters, Meredith Hermine Mitchell McAloon (James Brendan McAloon) and Lauren Calder Mitchell; his sister Marianne Mitchell (Bruce Edward Schmit); his niece Kirin Demarée Schmit; and his cousins, Benjamin Charles Frick (Stephanie Sears Frick), Pamela Ann Woodside and Wendeline Alice Woodside.

In honor of Eric's love of cars, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 4-6pm at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum (6825-31 Norwitch Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19153).
