He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Staples and Maude E. Staples; his wife Debra Staples; his daughter Robin R. Staples; and his siblings, Barbara Hubert and Russell Staples.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph McKinley Jr. and Ellise Bush; and his brother Wayne Staples. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
