He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Borland (Yelochan); his parents, John Norris Borland and Inez Siegfried Borland; his son David Robert Borland; and his siblings, Florence Evans, Edith Cooper and Jack Borland.
He is survived by: his son Paul Robert Borland (Debby); and his granddaughter Leah Grace Borland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springdale United Presbyterian Church or the Springdale Free Public Library.
