She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hereford Jarrell and Anna Katherine Kahle Jarrell; her brother H. Kahle Jarrell; her husbands, Paul Gillespie and Charles Wright; and her son Robert F. Gillespie.
She is survived by: her sisters, Frances Whedbee and Lois Crandell; and her children, Mary Kay Gillespie (Steve Lesser), Jim Gillespie, Peggi Keller and Ann Gillespie. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She maintained her sense of humor and independent streak throughout her life, and her interest in politics and world affairs only faded as Alzheimer's Disease decreased the size of her world.
