He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ralph and Margaret Specht Beck; and his children, John D. Beck and Julia Menke. He is survived by: his wife Alice Naylor Beck; his son James M. Beck of Christiana; and his granddaughter Johnna Menke (Chris Ocampo).
