He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ruffing and Mercedes Ruffing (McElhinny); his son John Ruffing; and his siblings, Dolores Hopkins and Donald Ruffing.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Mock (Bob); his grandchildren, Marissa Mikulla (Jon), Kayla Vallus (Dustin), Sereny Grob and Jordan Grob (Karlee); his great grandchildren, Terrell, Aubrie, Ashton, Makenzie, Julian and Aurora; his brothers, Joe Ruffing (Larry), Larry Ruffing (Donna) and Dale Ruffing (Mary); and his close friend Edith Knight.
