The passing of Grace R. Distler of Clarion, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 4, 2025 at the age of 105. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Hartle and Pauline Schill Hartle; her spouse Vernard J. Distler; and her siblings, Ruth Huefner, Bernard Hartle, George Hartle and Morris Hartle.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Melfi (Bill) of Elwood City, Nancy Gangle (Mike) of McKean and Jim Distler (Shari) of Clarion; her grandchildren, Michelle Mazzant (Amos) of Texas, Bill Melfi, Jr. (Renee) of Cranberry Township, Mark Melfi (Melanie) of Ohio, Todd Melfi (Christy) of Florida, Michael Gangle, Jr. (Rebecca) of Kansas and Shari Roll of Florida; her great grandchildren, Brandon Melfi, Kaitlyn Mazzant, Alexandra Foster, Hannah Oberle, Caden Melfi and Ava Gangle; and her sister Marie Cyphert (Don) of Leeper. She is also survived by six great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home (638 Wood St, Clarion, PA 16214). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Grace's honor may be sent to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 720 Liberty Street, Clarion, PA 16214 or to a charity of one's choice.
