We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2025, at the age of 87, Leona B. Dunkle of Clarion, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas P. Dwyer and Ruth E. Clinger Dwyer; her husband Richard S. Dunkle; and her siblings, John Dwyer, Ruth Kemmer, Mary Kennedy, Tom Dwyer and Jerry Dwyer.
She is survived by: her boyfriend John Ochs of Clarion; her children, Teresa "Terri" Swyers of Clarion, Mark R. Dunkle of Limestone, David S. Dunkle of Clarion and Douglas E. Dunkle (Cindy) of Clarion; her grandchildren, Gary Smith (Vanessa) of Cranberry Township, Bridget Smith of Dubois, Richelle Swyers of New York, Luke Swyers (Haley) of Brockway, Scott Swyers (Amber) of Saegertown, Danielle Chamberlain (Jeff), Autumn Dunkle (Alex) of Erie, Amanda Dunkle of Clarion and Sara Nichols of Dayton; and her sisters, Eileen Himes of New Bethlehem, Fran Seymore of Ohio and Helen Reed of Latrobe. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home (638 Wood St, Clarion, PA 16214). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
