He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Martin and Martha Martin (White); and his stepfather Charles Shanholtzer. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Martin (Tamblyn); his children, Robert (Nicole), Bonnie Cruz (Gerry) and James; his grandsons, Braden and Evan Cruz; and his pet Coko.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Clarks Green United Methodist Church (119 Glenburn Rd, Clarks Green, PA 18411).
