In loving memory of Dorothy V. Stewart of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Dorothy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Stewart and Anna Gibbons Stewart; and her siblings, Rita Schuh (Francis), Mary Bender (Joe), Theresa Stewart, Catherine Georgetti and Phillip "Buddy" Stewart.
She is survived by: her brothers, Charles Stewart (Norma) and Thomas Stewart (Mary). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Bean Funeral Home (436 Cedar Ave, Scranton, PA 18505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
