It is with sadness that the passing of Elisabeth (Betsy) Charney of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania is shared. Elisabeth, born on June 3, 1966, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Elisabeth will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Elisabeth by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Elisabeth is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Elisabeth’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Schneider and Dee Ann Cleeland Schneider; and her brother Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Robert Charney; her children, Jason Kearney (Mara) of Dalton and Sarah Kearney of Scranton; her sisters, Nicole Lowe (Ron) and Jennifer Kearney; and her grandchildren, Chloe Leigh, Jack, Aylah, Avery and Mason. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service (418 S State St, Clarks Summit, PA 18411).
