With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary A. Shaffer (Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 20, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Shaffer; and his brother Jerry Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Shaffer; his children, Jason Vo (Maura), Rosemary Shaffer (Jeffrey Banks) and Shawn Shaffer (Tannah); his grandchildren, Gavin, Ella, Charlotte and Emmett; his great grandchild Paislee; and his sisters, Linda Koch and Joann Shiffer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. (621 N Main St, Carbondale, PA 18407). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location.
