He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Smeal and Jane Smeal (Teats); and his brothers, Gary Smeal, Tom Smeal and Jody Smeal.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Smeal (Kardoley); his daughters, Lori Mayer (Jason) of Jacksonville, NC and Jennifer Smeal (Felix DelRosario) of Dillsburg, PA; his granddaughter Grace Caroline Mayer; and his siblings, Randy Smeal, Chuck Smeal, Jim Smeal and Lorrie Matthews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory (113 N 3rd St, Clearfield, PA 16830). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, 217 E. Pine St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
