She was predeceased by: her son Martin Elliot Smeal; and her sister Gloria "DeDe" Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughter Monica K. Smeal of Clearfield; and her grandchildren, Eric Lansberry, Tara Lansberry, Lindsy Lansberry and Kayla Peachman. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in memory of Forshia may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
