She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Silas and Roxie Mendola Thomas (Spencer); and her husband Richard Paul Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Richard Scott Matthews (Janice), Bruce Kent Matthews (Debbie) and Susan Bolinger (late Dave Bolinger); and her siblings, Earl "Bud", Tom, Jim, Dave Thomas, Gwendolyn Diehl, Nelda Meck, Eloise Moore, Judy Snavely, Helen Elder and Debbie Abbott. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
