John C. Strayer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Strayer (Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 13, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Strayer and Robert Strayer; and his sister Juli Strayer. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Lara Meisner of Needham, MA, Susan LaMotte of Charleston, SC and John R. Strayer of Ridley, PA; his children-in-law, Derek Meisner, Peter H. LaMotte and Christie Strayer; his grandchildren, Zachary, Ellie, Noah, Scarlett and Dylan; and his sister Janie Ulane (Roger) of Loveland, CO..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the Church of the Redeemer, the Ridley YMCA (Youth Programs), or the Strayer Family Fund, for scholarships in the community where he was raised.
