He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon P. Berdar and Hettie Lambert Berdar; his siblings, Simon Berdar Jr., Michael R. Berdar and Debbie Jolley; and his brother-in-law Fred E. Jolley Jr..
He is survived by: his sisters, Bernadette Frank (Jim) of Oil City and Anita "Annie" Fuchs (David) of Polk; his nieces, Jessica Kirk (Alan) of Texas, Andrea Grant (Mike) of Pittsburgh, Rebecca Berdar Busko (Tim) of Huntingdon, Melinda Meyer (Jack) of Erie, Amanda Burns (Jerry) of Oil City, Christina Rugh (Chad) of Franklin and Joanna Fuchs of Massachusetts; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Madison Stevens, Abigail Stevens, Josie Burns, Lillian Burns, Catherine Rugh, Andrew Rugh, Zachary Rugh, Joshua Rugh, Jack Knight, Aaron Busko, Tyler Burns and Annie Burke; and his sister-in-law Layne Berdar of Texas.
