He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Jordan James and Virginia Dare James (Hamilton); his former life partner Delores James (Kowchuck); and his sisters, Susan Bellman and Dorothy Henry.

He is survived by : his brother Robert James; his wife Bonnie Pozzini James; his children, Frank (Diane), Joseph T. (Karen), Raymond (Sherry Roland) and Loretta Conti (Luke Jack); his sister Salva Holloman, MD; his grandchildren, Kayla James, Corey Conti, Briana and Matthew; and his stepchildren, John Pozzini, Charles Pozzini (Maureen), Fred Pozzini (Diane) and Mary Sasser (Steve). He is also survived by five step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
