He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Shank and Bernadine Shank (Knupp); and his brother Gerald Shank. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Shank (Fairley); his daughter Bonnie Helmeid (Skip) of Clymer; his grandson Robert Helmeid (Morgan); his great grandchild Parker Helmeid; and his sister Jeanne Mayausky (Gene) of Fredricksburg, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
