He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Schankweiler and Myrtle Schankweiler (Strausser); his brother Wayne R. Schankweiler; and his parents-in-law, Leland E. and Edith H. Cox (Fellman).
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Schankweiler (Holly Simonson) of Blandon; and his siblings-in-law, William Cox (Patti) of Pottsville, Robert A, Charles E. Cox (Sandy) of Coaldale, George T. Cox (Alice) of Lansdale, Linda Phillips (Robert) of Lansdale and Roma Schankweiler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
