With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephanie Chmel of Coaldale, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 104. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Stephanie has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Chmel; her parents, Nestor Scarloss and Harriet Scarloss (Wyshosky); and her sisters, Mary Solomon, Olga Weiss and Anna. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Stephanie's name may be made to St. Mary Orthodox Church, 217 First Street, Coaldale, PA 18218.
