She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer Slabaugh and Elizabeth Slabaugh (Yoder). She is survived by : her husband Mervin E. Sommers; her children, Todd Sommers (Julianne), Robin Sommers (Marnie), Joseph Paul Newsome, Melissa Warner (Cal) and Jennifer Russell; her siblings, Irma Malone and Henry Slabaugh; and her grandchildren, Gabriella Sommers, Ethan Sommers and Caleb Sommers.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wadsworth Avenue Evangelical Church (339 Wadsworth Ave, Meadville, PA 16335).
