With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bessie Edwards of Cogan Station, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 90. Though Bessie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bessie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles L. Edwards; her parents, Raymond Pepperman and Alice Pepperman (Hughes); her son Wayne C. Edwards; her grandson Andrew Edwards; and her sisters, Florence Robertson and Margaret Harer.
She is survived by: her children, Carol L. Matlack (Mark) of Muncy Valley, Yvonne M. Metzger (Eldon) of Linden, Robert L. Edwards of Jersey Shore and Cindy L. Williamson (Russ) of Cogan Station; and her sister-in-law Donna Allen. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sanders Mortuary (821 Diamond St, Williamsport, PA 17701). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
