He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Sr. Boyd and Sallie Boyd (Stubbs); his wife Barbara (Todd); his children, Donald Todd (Jeanne) of Mount Joy, Anastasia Taylor (late Jeffrey) of Bainbridge, Kristi Coble (Kevin) of Shermans Dale, Heidi Boyd of Elizabethtown and Joshua Boyd of Columbia; his granddaughter Hayden Boyd; and his sisters, Beverly Celia of Lancaster and Londa Reach of Lancaster.
