He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Lewis and Louella Bleacher Lewis; his wife Esther A. Warner Lewis; and his brothers, John Lewis, Sr. and George Tyson.

He is survived by : his children, Steven J. Lewis, Christine E. Cooper and Lori L. Lewis; his grandsons, Ryan and Nathan; his great grandchild Kayla; and his siblings, James Lewis, David Yoder, Jr., Sue Smith, Patsy Keppel, Charles and Joseph Tyson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
