He is survived by: his wife Joanne (Maxenberger); and his children, Paul Smith Jr., Jan Marie Kaufhold, Barbara Smith, Marianne Nicklaus (Jim Nicklaus), Dr. Timothy R. Smith (K. Marie Smith), Beth Kinard (Harry Kinard) and Elaine Leech (Oscar Leech). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
