He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabel Kirchner and Merhl Kirchner; and his brothers, Edward and Mark. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Erin (Lyle Davis) and Joshua (Kristina Kirchner); his granddaughters, McKenna and Raelynn; and his brother Eugene (Patricia Kirchner). He is also survived by his wife, active with his children, dedicated to his granddaughters.
His lifelong interest in football propelled him to coach at various levels of the Donegal program, and he was inducted into Columbia High School's athletic hall of fame for his contribution to the undefeated 1970 team.
