With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Walsh of Confluence, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 28, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Lawrence departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lawrence may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lawrence leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Walsh and Ethel Walsh (Austin). He is survived by: his significant other Mary Aukerman of Confluence; his brothers, Terry Walsh of Sewickley, Daniel Walsh of Aliso Viejo, Calif and John Walsh of Bethel Park; his significant other's daughter Jeannette Lytle of Confluence; Christopher of Boston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Make a Wish or Somerset County Recreation and Trails Association (SCRTA).

“I'm so very saddened to hear of Larry's death. I had contact with him many times about the Turkeyfoot Lending Library in Confluence. He was very helpful in including info about the library in his interesting blog. Sometimes I'd run into him at the post office or elsewhere in town, and he was always so friendly and courteous. Earlier this week I sent him material for his next blog. It was quite a shock to hear he was gone. What a sharp mind and quick wit he had. He will surely be missed.”
