She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Herchko and Susan Herchko (Vozar); her husband Walter Goretsky; her daughter Janet Goretsky; her son-in-law Raymond Cross Sr.; her siblings, Albert Herchko (Rose), John Herchko (Angeline), Edward Herchko (Dolores), Paul Herchko (Imogene), Margaret Herchko, Anna Coplin (Harry), Veronica Blanish (John), Mary Speeney (Joseph), Stephanie Williams (Don), Catherine Lowe (Dick), Helen Hesslau (Gilbert) and Bernadine Lafko (Joseph); and her niece Marie Hesslau Ragucci.
She is survived by : her children, Gloria T. Cross of Tarrs, Lawrence Goretsky (Paula) of Trotter and Walter A. Goretsky (Jerri) of South Connellsville; her grandchildren, Jason Goretsky (Hailey) of Idaho, Jerrod Goretsky-Shaffer (Tim) of Canonsburg and Assunta Goretsky of South Connellsville; her great grandchildren, Amelia of Idaho, Kendall of Idaho, Ryland of Idaho, Madison of Idaho and Abigail of Idaho; her stepgrandchildren, Ray Cross Jr. of Maryland and Nicole Pruchnic of Mt. Pleasant; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sam Cross, Nate Cross and Isabella Pruchnic.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc. (418 Pittsburgh St, Connellsville, PA 15425). A rosary was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church (908 W Crawford Ave, Connellsville, PA 15425). A committal service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity R. C. Cemetery (1301 Memorial Blvd, Connellsville, PA 15425).
