He was predeceased by: his father Albert L. Herman, Jr.; his son Nicholas Herman; his brother Joseph Herman; and his fiancée Janet. He is survived by: his mother Sandra L. May Herman of Connellsville; his siblings, Cindy Costabile of Connellsville, Albert Herman III of Connellsville, Lauri Schomer (Tom) of Connellsville, Michael Herman (Crystal) of Connellsville, Patrick Herman of Connellsville and Jennifer Mackey (John) of Normalville; and his close friends, Malory and Roger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Nicholson Cancer Fund in memory of Randy S. Herman.
