He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Basinger and Pearl Basinger (Dawson); his brother Lloyd Samuel, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, William and Marguerite (Durbin).
He is survived by: his wife Eileen (Basinger); his children, Richard Basinger (Harry), John Basinger (Phyllis) of Bullskin and Crissie Martin (Rock) of Derry; his grandchildren, Brian Guynn (Kristin), Megan Guynn (Steve), Blake Yuhaniak (Jesse), Rock Martin (Ashley), Brianna Russin and Mikayla Russin; his great grandchildren, Gia, Ace Guynn, Parker, Charlotte Yuhaniak, Liam, Nora and Lila Martin; and his siblings, Ed Basinger (Donita) and Judy Davis (Bobby). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
