He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Miner and Esther Miner (Kuhn); his wife Elsie "Susie" Miner; his son Joseph Miner; and his sister Anna Mary Miner.

He is survived by: his son Michael Miner (Ariel); and his granddaughter Allie Miner.
