He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Joseph and Jean Evelyn Hickey (Bischoff); and his son Edward Hickey. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara J. Watt; and his children, James Hickey (Cynthia) of Jamestown, PA, Sean Hickey (Denise) of Conneautville, Daniel Hickey (Connie) of Cooperstown, Anna Songer (Eric) of Cooperstown and Brenda Arnett (Kevin) of Fairborn, OH. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
