He was predeceased by : his parents, Claud Samuels and Marguerite Samuels (Beck); and his siblings, Emory, William, Charles, Terry, Paul, Christopher Samuels, Elaine Murdock, Dolores Lienhard and Nanette Kuhns.

He is survived by : his wife Janet L. Samuels (Lentz); his sons, Scott B. (Alice Samuels) of Allentown and David B. (Rita Samuels) of Allentown; his siblings, Joel (Linda Samuels) of Palo Alto, IL and Pamela G. Samuels of Bethlehem; his grandchildren, Craig Samuels, Felicia (Sean McGonigle) and Kaitlin Samuels; and his great grandchild Saoirse.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
