He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Rosenstiel and Richard Kelly; and his siblings, Mark Kelly of Coraopolis and Lynn Hoak (Art) of West Newton. He is survived by: his wife Diana Kelly; his son Robert Kelly (Juliana) of Manchester, Michigan.; his siblings, Karen Deklinski (Joe) of Ocala, Jerry Kelly of New Kensington and James Kelly (Kristina) of Gibsonia; Diana Choplin (Skyler). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
