He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Eugene and Verna Mae Fox (Hetrick); and his sister Betty Fox. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Jane Fox (Nelson); his children, Melinda Sue Daubert (Joseph), Jane Eileen Deacon (Roger) and James Nelson Fox (Gretchen); his grandchildren, Lindsay, Margaret, Natalie, Courtney, Abigail and Alexander; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sophia.
