He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wells and Dorothy Wells; his siblings, Marilyn Hine (Wells), Donald Wells, Bill Wells and Phil English; his siblings-in-law, Meredith Wells (Erickson), Patricia Wells (Mulks), Laverne Hine (Jiggs), Ernest Thomas and Joseph Wagner; and his grandson Jackson Call.
He is survived by: his friend Charlie Becker; his wife Beverley A. Wells (Thomas); his daughters, Linda Payan (Ruben) of Maryland, Mary Call (Mark) of Pennsylvania and Nancy Dillon (David) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Shawn Witschen, Ruben Payan, Madeline Call and Peter Payan; his brothers, Richard Wells (Berna) of Missouri and David Wells (Jane) of New York; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Wagner and Sally Thomas.
