She was predeceased by: her father Blaine Burkett Sr.; her former husband James W. Adams Sr.; her husband Lyle Smith; her sister Mae TeCulver; her son James W. Adams Jr.; her grandson Jesse Martin; and her friend Gertrude "Gert" Rooney.
She is survived by: her siblings, Martha Whiteley of Wrightsville, PA and Blaine Burkett Jr. (Mary Lou) of Corry; her daughters, Peggy Sue Hoogstad (Dave) of Linesville, PA and Julie Hittie of Williamsport, PA; and her grandchildren, Aaron, Grace Semian, Shane, Jamie, Sadie and Jordyn Martin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wrightsville Community Church (81 Boardman St, Pittsfield, PA 16340). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
