She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Morton and Flossie Morton (Schreve); her former husband Julius Ossa; her husband John D. Messinger; her son Jamie L. Ossa; and her grandsons, Robert "Robbie" Julius Ossa and Donald Ossa.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Sonntag (John) of Corry, PA, Mary Jo Nichols (Rex) of Corry, PA and Jerry Ossa (Donell) of Union City, PA; her sister Cheryl Maynard (Ed) of Virgina; her grandchildren, Joseph, Emily Sonntag, Jerrod Ossa, Katy, Kurt Nichols and Brandon Ossa; and her great grandchildren, Mya, Kinsley, Cameron, Benjamin, Parker and Liam. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
