He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Szarejko and Shirley Szarejko; and his siblings, Ronald, Mary Szarejko, Richard Szarejko and Dale.

He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Perfetti (late Michael Paul) and Daniel Szarejko (Sally). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and one great nephew, many cousins, and great friends.
