He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pastula and Kathryn Prymak Pastula; his sisters, Kathleen Black (David) and Lori Wells (Donald); his in-laws, Elizabeth Stewart Bier, Albert Stewart, Merle Bier, Doris Altmire, Richard Altmire and Alice McIlwain (Sue); and his nieces, Sheila Orlowski, Kristen Wells and Destiny Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth McIlwain Pastula; his daughter Richelle Pastula Tropeck (Kevin) of Zelienople; his grandchildren, Haleigh Tropeck of Butler and Gavin Brice Tropeck; his sister Donna Rellick (Joe) of Irwin; and his brother-in-law Donald McIlwain of Greensburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made, in Rich's honor, to Hope Lutheran Church for The Dorcas Project, benefiting dementia patients.
