Stephanie C. Smith Obituary
Stephanie C. Smith, née McHale, passed away on September 20, 2026, at Crescent Fields at Huntingdon Valley in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. She was born on June 18, 1952, in Hornell, New York, and was a lifelong resident of the Morrisville and Yardley area.
Stephanie will be remembered as a woman who devoted much of her life to the care of others. A graduate of Morrisville High School, she went on to serve as a registered nurse at several area hospitals, including Mercer Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson in Hamilton Township. She also worked in home health care, extending her compassion and skill to patients and families in deeply personal ways. Her work reflected a steady commitment to helping people through both ordinary days and difficult moments.
Outside of her profession, Stephanie found joy in the simple and enduring pleasures of life. She enjoyed knitting and gardening, pursuits that spoke to her patience, creativity, and nurturing spirit. She was also an avid biker and enjoyed going on long walks, embracing the outdoors and the quiet happiness found in movement and nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smith II, and by her father, James McHale.
Stephanie leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward with deep affection. She is survived by her mother, Lucille Roucher McHale; her daughter, Shannon Zintner, and Shannon's husband, Richard Zintner; and her son, Jason Smith. She is also survived by her brother, Michael McHale, and his wife, Nancy; her sister, Barbara Mott, and her husband, Steven; her sister, Susan DiRe, and her husband, Russ; and her sisters Kathleen Moss and Maureen McHale.
Her love also lives on in her three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ryland, and Finley, who were a cherished part of her family. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, along with the many relatives and friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.
Stephanie's life was marked by devotion to family, dedication to her work, and enjoyment of the everyday gifts that made life meaningful. She will be remembered with love and missed deeply by all who knew her.
