He is survived by: his wife Glynna (Sallee); his children, Heather Whitesell (Bryan Nelson), Jane Whitesell (Tim Parry), Jennifer Wieboldt and William Wieboldt; his grandchildren, William Brown, Chrissy Siptroth (Ben Siptroth), Nickolas Parry, Tyler Parry, Carly Ciarlone and Amelia Ciarlone; his great grandchildren, James Siptroth and Elizabeth Siptroth; and his nephew Jeffrey Whitesell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's name to Paul's House, the Valor Clinic in Kunkletown, or Wounded Warrior Project.
