He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Gaita and Rose Gaita; his wife Marie Gaita (Lacatena); and his siblings, Sam Gaita and Phyllis Gaita.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Gaita (Louise), Joanne Gaita, Richard Gaita, Samuel Gaita (Sherry) and Brian Gaita (Karen); his grandchildren, Joseph Gaita, James Gaita, Jamie Gaita Dewes, Jennifer Mahon (DuBois), Christopher DuBois, Aspen Miller (Gaita), Riley Gaita Berwick, Giana Gaita, Michelle Gaita, Sam, Danielle Gaita and J. Michael Gaita; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Gaita, Maverick Miller, Colt Berwick, Lynkin Dewes and Mason Gaita.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Santangelo Funeral Home (635 McBride Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
