He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Hess and Margaret M. Hess (Franchock); and his mother-in-law Leora Hartzell. He is survived by: his wife Lisa L. Hess (Hartzell); his siblings, Carol Gossar (James), Joan Southern and Gary Hess (Beth); his father-in-law Richard Hartzell; and his brother-in-law Michael Hartzell (Wendi). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
