He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Brochon (Sohmer) and Emile Brochon. He is survived by: his siblings, Emile Brochon (Anna), Mark Brochon (late Hilda Brochon) and Elizabeth Praul (Francis). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, John requested donations be made in his memory to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
