He is survived by: his mother Mary Schaeffer Koons; his daughter Nichole Koons (Gene Sattler); his grandchildren, Kareana Sattler and Izak Sattler; his stepson Corey Drebot (Erin); and his siblings, Denise Fredericks, Jon Koons, Karl Koons, Robert Koons and Melissa Wentzel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
