He was predeceased by: his parents, Protas Pavlak and Helen Pavlak (Panak); his wife Marlene; his sisters, Evelyn and Theresa; and his granddaughter Jennifer.

He is survived by: his children, Amy Pavlak Laird (Darin Laird) and Edward Protas Pavlak, Jr. (Erin Friess Pavlak); his stepdaughter RaeDawn Kendall; and his grandchildren, Tess Pavlak, Ian Laird and Raelynne Kendall. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
